Beef Ampalaya

Ingredients

  • 1 piece ampalaya
  • 250 grams of beef, sliced thinly
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 piece onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Procedure

  1. Clean the ampalayan and then cut it into thin pieces.
  2. On a mixing bowl, mix ampalaya and salt. Set aside for 5 minutes.
  3. Wash the ampalaya to remove the salt and set aside.
  4. Marinate the beef in soy sauce, oyster sauce brown sugar and cornstarch. Mix well and add ground black pepper. Marinate for 3 hours.
  5. In a pan, saute garlic and onion.
  6. Add the marinated beef. Stir fry for a few minutes.
  7. Add water and simmer until sauce thickens.
  8. Add the ampalya and stir fry until the vegetable is cooked.
  9. Season with salt and pepper.
  10. Serve hot!
